About the Role

We are currently looking for QHSE Manager to join our team in Assen, Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for leading cultural and behavioral change across our operations, driving best practice and nurturing an environment that understands and embraces high standards of working. You will work closely with all levels of staff to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risk across our site. As a passionate and people orientated QHSE Manager, you will place the health and safety of our staff at the top of your agenda, along with ensuring consistently high-quality standards and environmental regulations are met.

You will have 1 direct report (Quality Inspection Technician).

About Your Responsibilities

  • Engage with manual workers, managers and suppliers in relation to all Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety matters.
  • Carry out risk assessments on manufacturing and processing equipment.
  • Ensure clear guidance is produced and followed by all employees.
  • Provide reporting and guidance to the wider business.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and training as required.
  • Maintain our Quality Management System.
  • Ensure all regulatory standards are met.
  • What Do You Need

    You will apply a high level of attention to detail to maintain accurate and policies and procedures. You will be passionate about quality, safety and environmental standards, leading cultural change and championing best practice. You will lead from the front, be visible and be invested in employee engagement. 

    Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in mechanical or production.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of QHSE management systems, laws, and regulations.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining ISO systems, implementing change initiatives, and developing quality improvement programs.
  • Understanding of common manufacturing and processing equipment, and any associated risks.
  • Good IT literacy, experience in maintaining quality systems and management information.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and build relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
  • Experience within Chemical or Machinery industries is advantageous.
  • NEBOSH or HVK Certified (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of SAP (nice to have).
