Annual Salary: €64,600 – €89,800 (depending on experience)

About the Role:

We are currently looking forward to engaging a Production Manager to overlook and improve manufacturing operations of Johnson Pumps equipment in our Assen location.

As a Production Manager you are:

  • The link between senior management and your production area employees. Within production you have a machining area, assembly area and paint shop.
  • Managing daily production activities, people deployment as per delivery plan, process implementation & upgradation, handling the Team in an effective way to ensure that the manufacturing production lines run smoothly delivering the KPI’s.
  • Responsible for generating a consistently suitable output of products that meet quality and efficiency standards.

  • What will I be doing?

    On a day-to-day basis your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Daily Management of production from machining and assembly department, ensuring people & equipment safety, adherence to product quality & process, hitting production KPI’s not limited to On Time Delivery, People & equipment efficiency, cost elements etc.
  • Analyze-Predict-Prepare for bottlenecks in the production line that could negatively impact KPI’s & commitment, through strong level of engagement with own team & across functions not limited to Planning, Purchase, Logistics.
  • Use KPIs and operational data from daily dashboard, Power BI platforms, to drive performance improvement.
  • Managing the production department’s budget, with direct responsibility for specific production cost elements.
  • Leading production activities based on LEAN and Operational Excellence methodologies in all areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure with cross functional team, all production equipment are properly maintained, calibrated and in good working condition at all times to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Defining and executing the future strategic roadmap for production with improved cost, people & equipment efficiency through machine strategy, digitalization, automation, investments.
  • Actively participating in the site management team and contributing to the development and delivery of the annual plan.
  • Ensure all operators receive adequate training and development to perform their roles effectively
  • Being visible as a leader; focusing on behavior, values and driving the company culture, maintaining high level of self motivation & people enthusiasm.
  • Guiding and motivating your employees in their developments and reaching their personal goals
  • Setting annual budget in alignment towards the company goals
  • Building a strong internal network through effective collaboration with OpEx, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to maximize added value to SPX.

    You will also need:

  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering area
  • 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing leadership/supervision role, preferably in similar product and/or process in LEAN environment
  • Understanding of technical documents to ensure that products meet the correct standards
  • Understanding of mechanical operations on a conventional machine park
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
  • IT literate with Windows environment, MS Office Package, Power BI and ideally in SAP ERP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people management and motivational skills with ability to coach and facilitate individually and at the large-scale level
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts and assure environment for creative problem-solving among the team
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, new and different environments, and functional areas
  • Knowledge of data analysis and statistical process control; ability to define problem through Visual indicator.
