A key role in an International Organization
As Sustainability Director, you will be responsible for defining best practice and establishing a standardized understanding of how we work with sustainability in COWI Norway. You will ensure compliance in all our projects across the company and alignment with COWI Group. Further on, you will lead strategic initiatives across our business units, and play a key role in our international Sustainability organization and professional network.

You are an inspiring leader with strong relationships skills and the ability to lead an organization towards set goals. We are looking for a proactive, inspiring and dedicated candidate who can demonstrate previous results in sustainability work and green innovation.
The role will report to the CEO of COWI Norway, Marius Weydahl Berg, and will work closely with the COWI’s top management team.
Drive Green Innovation and Sustainability in COWI Norway, in accordance with market needs and COWI’s business objectives (strategy and plans)
Lead and coordinate the Sustainability organization and initiatives across the company
Prioritize and support new and ongoing R&D initiatives
Define best practices for working with sustainability
Define and implement necessary competence development initiatives within sustainability.
Promote COWI’s work in sustainability and Green innovation, and support Thought Leadership and branding initiatives
Relevant experiences and qualifications would be:
Higher education within a relevant discipline
Solid experience working professionally with sustainability at a senior/leadership level
Good change management skills with a focus on how to apply sustainability to projects and work with innovation and R&D
Good understanding of working with design projects during all project phases, from conceptual design to detailed design, for contractors or as a client’s consultant, where sustainability has been a key factor
