For our client, a market leader in e-Commerce, we are urgently looking for hands-on Senior Backend Engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions in a cloud-native microservices environment. This is a plug & play freelance role requiring deep technical expertise and autonomy from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and optimize scalable, resilient microservices in a distributed system
- Write clean, testable, and production-ready Java/Kotlin code
- Collaborate across engineering, product, and design to refine technical solutions
- Embrace a DevOps culture: own what you build, monitor and improve services
- Languages: Java, Kotlin
- Testing: JUnit, TestContainers, MockK
Ideal Background:
- 5+ years backend engineering experience in complex systems
- Strong knowledge of system design, clean code, and testing best practices
- Prior work in financial services, fintech, or high-availability platforms is highly valued
